| SBN Mike started Kuk Sool at Beccles in 1980 under the instruction of Master Phillip Holmes. He gained his first degree black belt in 1987 on the very first visit of the Grandmaster to the United Kingdom. In 1990 he came with KJN Steve to Eye. Here he runs the black belt class, which regularly has up to twenty students. SBN won a silver medal for sword form at the 1996 world championships and more importantly help to lay the foundations for the Great Britain Team. His son Daniel, a 1st degree, was the 1997 United Kingdom Grand Champion. He then went with SBN Mike to the World Championships as part of the Great Britain team and came back with a medal in every category, 6 in total. |
